The Bahamas will reopen on 1st July to overseas visitors, subject to a stringent regime
All visitors arriving into The Bahamas will be required to present a negative PCR test on arrival, which must be no more than 10 days old. They will also be required to complete an electronic health visa.
There will be no quarantine on arrival requirement, but those who show symptoms will be steered away from other passengers for further testing.
For those wanting to do inter-island travelling, they will be required to complete an electronic domestic travel form prior to departing, which must then be shown on arrival, to assist in contact tracing efforts.
All arrivals into airport and seaport will have temperature checks, and masks must be worn wherever social distancing is necessary, such as transiting through air and sea terminals, while clearing security and customs, and at baggage reclaim.
Second phase
This will allow hotel and holiday rentals to reopen, while domestic and international airlines will be permitted to resume services. The country is expecting a number of carriers to confirm new schedules over the coming weeks.
Further opening of the borders will be monitored by the government and health officials, with dates subject to changes in COVID-19 trends.
